There is a pause in the air and it’s a dangerous pause, it crouches and waits, like it’s about ready to pounce on them and devour them, pawing their words to death before eating it squirming and bloody. Finnegan hates pauses like these, but they have become more and more frequent between the two of them. Once upon a time no pauses existed between them and once upon a time they dueled with words falling with laughter as the paragraphs feigned and parried and scored points back and forth.
