Payseur and Schmidt are doing an awesome Ambergris book. It looks like this might be an heir to the style of City of Saints and Madmen, which read like a fractured novel, written on broken glass and lost in the sands beneath an ancient, ruined city.

Brilliant book on the explorations of ruins. Great stuff for those who wish to write about places that have sunken into history, and lost for centuries in the shrouded mist that is the collective memory of humankind.[snurched from Jay Lake]

Gunpowder by Joe Hill seems like an interesting novella. Lord of the Flies meets Space Opera. Or something like that. Definitely a book I want to read, and is on my OMG I HAVE GOT TO HAVE THIS list.
