The brutal poetics of Li-Young Lee

I think I have found a new favorite poet. The ease of brutality, of meloncholy in the words. Each bit of langauge a complex symbol, carrying the weight of several meaning. Absolutely layered and haunting and just, just, just

Beautiful.

  1. I think you have good taste. Aaron, FW Poetry Guru, went through a work shop with Li-Young Lee a while back, and still sings his praises. The two of you could go on for hours, I’d bet.
