  • Age when I decided I wanted to be a writer: 5 (no, really. I wrote books on paper, stapled them and then sold them to other students for a buck in kindergarten)
  • Age when I got my hands on a typewriter and taught myself to use it: 13 (if by typewriter you mean laptop)
  • Age when I wrote my first short story: 5 (if you count child size picture books)
  • Age when I wrote my first novel:7 (It was about transformers)
  • Novels written between age 30 and age 39: 3
  • Age when I first submitted a short story to a magazine:17 (Silver Web- wooo!)
  • Number of rejections prior to first story sale: 6
  • Lifetime number of rejections: I lost count.
  • Age when I sold my first short story:27
  • Age when I wrote a saleable novel: 31 (well, novella)
  • Age when I sold that novel: 31 (well, novella)
  • Age now:31
  • Age when the money coming in exceeded my statuory employment: not yet
  • Number of books sold: 1 novella, 1 short story collection
  • Number of short stories sold: 32
  • Number of titles in print: none yet
  • Number of titles in production or pre-production:1 novella and 1 short story collection
