Let’s all give a huzzah for hearsay and conjecture!

Really, because these days to prove a point about sales you don’t need actual data or statistics or marketing trends/publishing trends to prove your point!  You just need to say it on the internet, and it’s true!

Yes, we’ve heard this argument before.  I find it cute that people who don’t read magazines are telling everyone what sells them.

    Hi Paul,

    Just a question… I understand the hearsay and conjecture comment (Eoghann is pretty open about it), but I don’t see how you came to the conclusion that these people don’t read magazines. Are you reading too much into this, or did I miss something?

    Just simply by the fact that he doesn’t provide any examples, for or against his argument. Someone that reads the magazines, and dislikes what he reads could probably list off a dozen or so instances as to why.

    He also seems to think that “hard science fiction” and “literary science fiction” are the same thing. Which, of course, they’re not.
