Emag news

First, Fantasy Magazine has a spiffy new look.  this layout reminds me more of how the print magazine looked before it went online.  It also has a spiffy podcast, where they read the current short story.  Very nice.

The other part of this emag news two parter is the anouncement that Apex Digest (a magazine I read slush for) is going 100% online and is paying pro rates. 5cents a word.  Nice.  I must say, in a way it’s sad to see all these print mags go online.  But it is good, in another way, since they always pay more once they aren’t in print.  It looks like the future of short genre fiction will be on the interwebs.
